Jim Hill is a business consultant, coach, mentor, and facilitator with 35 years business experience who has managed and led public and private organizations in a wide range of industries.
Specific industries that Jim has in depth knowledge of include:
> Farm Equipment sales, distribution and product development in Canada and the US
> Fire truck manufacturing and sales
> Control Systems development, manufacturing and sales for car washes and natural gas compressor controls and livestock feed ration systems
> Manufacture and distribution of bulk storage bins for grain and fertilizer
> Manufacture of tanks for oil and gas industries
> Manufacture and distribution of hazardous material storage structures
> Property Development
Jim’s work experience has included very small and startup companies as well as large, multi national organizations. Involvement has been in many facets including sales rep, product development manager, sales manager, general manager, national accounts manager, president/CEO, and shareholder.
Jim has started and built organizations, increased sales of existing companies, established many different distribution channels, created and coached several management teams and developed and implemented effective business strategies.
Specific interests are working with organizations and individuals whose business has developed to the point where management needs to be transferred; or have reached the stage in business where less day-to-day involvement is a priority. One of the most difficult but probably the most important activities for an owner, entrepreneur, or manager is to create an environment where a new, perhaps younger, employee, shareholder, relative or son or daughter can assume management of the organization.
The issues and emotions across industries and businesses are common; the solutions are difficult to achieve; but the rewards for success are huge.
Jim is currently involved in the following areas of practice:
- Coaching, Personal & Business
- Strategic Planning
